Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about distribution, royalties, rights, timelines, and support. If you don’t see your question here, reach out — we’re happy to help.

Distribution & Releases

Which stores do you distribute to?

Spotify, Apple Music, Boomplay, YouTube Music, Deezer, TikTok, Facebook/Instagram, Audiomack and 200+ more DSPs worldwide.

How long does delivery take?

After your release is approved, most stores ingest within 2–5 business days. Allow 10–14 days ahead of release date if you want editorial pitching and pre‑saves.

What file formats and artwork do you accept?

Audio: WAV 16‑24bit, 44.1kHz (no clipping). Artwork: JPG/PNG, 3000×3000px, no URLs or pricing text, no borders, and must own image rights.

Do you create UPC/ISRC codes?

Yes. We can generate UPC (release) and ISRC (track) codes for you, or you can supply your own if you already have them.

Can I schedule a pre‑save and pre‑order?

Yes. We support pre‑saves and can provide smartlinks. Set your release date at least 10–14 days in advance for best results.

Can I request a takedown or update metadata after release?

Yes. Submit a support request with the release URL(s) and the exact changes. Propagation windows vary by store.

Royalties & Payments

When do I get paid?

Royalties are paid after DSPs report and funds clear (typically monthly or quarterly depending on the DSP). You can see reports in your dashboard.

What payout methods do you support?

Bank transfer, mobile money (where available), and other regional options. Choose your preferred method in your account settings.

Is there a payment threshold?

Yes. A minimum payout threshold may apply to reduce transfer fees. It will be shown in your dashboard based on currency and method.

Do you take a percentage or charge per release?

We offer several plans (per‑release or revenue share). See our pricing page or contact sales for custom label deals.

How are splits handled between collaborators?

You can assign revenue splits per track or release. We track and allocate royalties accordingly once stores report.

What’s the difference between master royalties and publishing?

Master royalties come from the recording. Publishing relates to the composition (songwriting). We handle distribution (masters) and offer optional publishing admin guidance on request.

Rights, Content ID & Compliance

Do I keep my masters?

Yes. LabelTune is artist‑first — you retain your master rights unless you sign a different agreement (e.g., distribution/label deal).

Do you provide YouTube Content ID?

Yes, for eligible content. We’ll fingerprint your audio and claim matching UGC/partner uploads. Some content types may be ineligible per platform rules.

Can I upload covers or remixes?

Cover songs usually require proper licensing in certain territories; remixes and samples require written permissions from rightsholders. Please ensure you have the rights before submission.

What happens if DSPs detect artificial streaming?

We have zero tolerance for manipulation. Stores may withhold or claw back royalties and may remove the content. Accounts engaging in fraud can be suspended or terminated.

How do takedown notices and disputes work?

Submit your claim with evidence (links, ownership docs). We investigate and coordinate with stores according to their policies.

Do you manage publishing administration?

Our core product is distribution. If you need publishing administration (PRO registrations, MLC, etc.), contact us for guidance or partner options.

Accounts & Support

How do I get help?

Use the contact form below or email our team. Include release links, ISRC/UPC, and a clear description to speed up resolution.

Can I migrate my catalog from another distributor?

Yes. We’ll help you re‑deliver releases with the same ISRCs where possible to preserve playcounts and playlists.

Which regions do you support?

We operate globally with strong support across Africa and the diaspora (Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Johannesburg, and beyond).

Do you offer label manager or sub‑accounts?

Yes, for labels and teams. Ask about multi‑artist dashboards, sub‑accounts, and advanced analytics.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

You can upgrade/downgrade between plans. Cancellation stops future renewals; existing content may remain subject to store policies.

Where can I read the Terms and Privacy Policy?

See our Terms and Conditions and Privacy pages. Using our services means you agree to those policies.
